INTERREG III IT-CH PRO-ALP "Agrialpeggi"

What’s the agri-tourism?

The agri-tourism can be technically defined by the art. 2 c.1 of Piedmont’s regional law n. 38 1995, that states: “agri-tourism activities are reception and welcome activities practised by farmers (according to art. 2135 of Civil code) singles or associates, and by their relatives (according to art. 230 bis of Civil code) through the utilisation of their own farm, in relation of connexion and complementarity with activities of cultivation of the land, silviculture, cattle breeding, that must anyway remain prominent parts”.
Indeed, agri-tourism is farming and transformation of agricultural products oriented to supply, but even more is reception and welcome. It should start from here the offer of a good instrument to a farmer approaching agri-tourism, so that he/she can decide if and how to make a change to his/her own activity establishing a agri-tourism. It can be  certainly an exciting project, but it exposes to various workloads and firm risks that have to be well estimated before embarking on agri-tourism adventure with eagerness. Later we will see together what it’s about and if it’s possible to avoid mistakes, often caused just by lack of experience, that ruin not only single activities, but risk to obscure the good and deserved fame of rural welcome in Italy
